- Second meeting held at same venue. The attendees were all in unison in holding the reunion on January 22, 2000 (tentative date). To spread the word around to
other fellow alumni, extensive advertising will be conducted by these batch mates who work in different areas of media communications.
Attendees include: Bernard Dimaandal, Tacy Malimban-Enslie, and Delio Fadul, Lyna Serrano-Sebastian,
Dong dela Cena, Edison Fong, Caloy Sapang, and Michelle Mandap.
Saturday, June 12, 1999
- I was informed by Delio Fadul that he was able to contact Ronnie Bugay, an interior designer, who will help design the invitation cards for this
reunion. Delio, by the way, runs a printing press in Manila.
Sunday, June 20, 1999
- Received an e-mail from Van Ocampo stating that the North American group had come up with a vote of a summer time reunion date.
Out of the 13 contacts in North America, 7 voted for a summer reunion and 1 voted for a January date. Three couldn't make it at all in any date, and 2 can't even be
bothered for their response. This vote will be submitted to the Manila group as soon as possible.
Saturday, June 26, 1999
- Third meeting held at Pepeton's, Panay Ave. There were 22 or 23 attendees from both BHS and GHS. Preferred date of homecoming will be June 17-18, 2000. Mon Banas was
elected to be overall President, and different committees were formed to handle different functions such as Exectuive, Finance, Membership, and Auditing. Bernard's group will start scouting
for a venue by next weekend.
Saturday, July 3, 1999
- A small group composed of Mon Baņas, Bernie Dimaandal, Tacy Enslie, Michelle Mandap and Jing Concepcion-Bustamante conducted an ocular inspection of possible sites for our reunion.
They were able to visit Island Cove in Cavite, Monte Vista and Crystal Springs, both in Laguna. All the five of them were of the opinion that among the three, Island Cove is the best. The quotation of Island Cove is
P2,355 per head which include, among others:
Saturday, July 24, 1999
- Meeting was held at Max's Restaurant near Roces Ave. It was attended by 32 people, including Carmen Pasion who was in Manila on vacation. Talks were conducted mainly on scheduling several
fund-raising events such as concerts, stage plays, ballroom dancing, etc.
Saturday, August 28, 1999
- Meeting was held at Kowloon House in West Ave. Officers were elected, Mon Banas as President. The planned concert was approved as a fundraising campaign, the ballroom dancing and
stage play will be studied further. Expected minimum target number of attendees for the reunion is 100 people.
Saturday, September 25, 1999
- Meeting was considered a success. New faces arrived. Tickets for the Halloween fund-raising party on October 28th were distributed among attendees. Total target number of tickets to be sold is 600.
So far, 268 tickets are considered "sold". (More than half still needs to be sold. Let's all help out in attaining their target number.)

Saturday, October 9, 1999
- Meeting held at the Meralco Canteen attended by 28 people, with 4 newcomers. Discussions were mainly about the upcoming concert at the Phenomena Music Club. A change of one of the performing bands attracted more people
to the concert. As of this writing, about 435 tickets are considered "sold" already. Planning stages for the Christmas party on December 29th also came into the discussion. Another major topic of discussion was the 50% downpayment
required by Island Cove. It was resolved that whoever is really going to attend the reunion would have paid P1500 by December (a little more than 50% to cover some contingency). The committee is targeting a minimum of 100 attendees
for the reunion. If it's any less than that, our reunion might fail.

Saturday, October 23, 1999
- Meeting held at the Meralco Clubhouse. About 23-25 people attended, with 3 newcomers. Meeting was presided by Ruel and Mary Anne Tecson. Rotation of presiding officers will be made on a regular basis. Survey sheets for the Christmas
party, which will be held at the Meralco Clubhouse, were filled. The reunion venue is still at Island Cove, Cavite. There was a proposal for an alternative venue but it was put aside for awhile. If the 50% downpayment required at Island Cove
could not be raised by December , then the alternative venues will be seriously considered. The alternative venues are:
- Fine dining with ballroom dancing in a yacht that will cruise Manila Bay. P1,200 per head. Only P20,000 downpayment. But it will only be a night affair (6 P.M. to 12 Midnight)
- Grotto Vista in Bulacan. Lots of swimming pools, styles and sizes. Hotel accomodations. Sports facilities.

Saturday, January 30, 2000
- Meeting was held at the Meralco clubhouse with only 17 attendees. The venue for the reunion has been changed. It is now at the Grotto Vista in Bulacan, near Novaliches. The survey conducted shows that many people
cannot afford the P2,500 reunion fee. It also shows that P1,000 is the reasonable fee. The income generated by the Phenomena project can only reduce the fee to less than P500. The reunion officers made an ocular at the
new venue last January 22nd and turned out to be a nice alternative to Island Cove.
- Other topics were about the souvenir program and the Phenomena Part II. Assignments were given to the persons who will handle the said projects. Phenomena II is NOT much of a fund raising activity. The P200 ticket will
be divided between the Phenomena and the member who sold the ticket, which means, P100 will go to the Phenomena and P100 will be credited to the reunion fee of the batchmate who sold the ticket. No refund and no cash
conversion for the excess tickets sold.
- There will also be a Valentine's party on February 12th at Cafe Verde in Katipunan, Q.C. It's not the project of the Alumni but we are supporting it because it was initiated by some GHS batchmates.
- Next meeting will be held at Pepeton's in Sct. Borromeo, Q.C. on February 26, 2000.
